Rocket.Chat

Overview

Rocket.Chat receives status updates through an incoming webhook — the same Slack-compatible payload OKStatus sends to Slack. Available on the Pro plan and above.

Setup

Section titled “Setup”
  1. In Rocket.Chat, go to Administration → Integrations → New → Incoming Webhook.
  2. Enable it, pick the target channel, and Save. Copy the Webhook URL.
  3. In OKStatus, go to Alerting → Channels → Add a channel → Rocket.Chat.
  4. Paste the Webhook URL.
  5. Click Test, then attach the channel to your monitors.

Notes

Section titled “Notes”
  • Self-hosted Rocket.Chat works — use its DNS name. A URL that resolves to a literal private IP is rejected for safety; an in-cluster DNS name is fine.
  • Messages are colour-coded by state (red down, amber degraded, grey paused, green up) and include the monitor name, URL, and region.
