Jira Service Management

Jira Service Management Operations (the on-call/alerting side that absorbed Opsgenie) receives alerts on the Opsgenie-compatible alerts API. OKStatus creates an alert when a monitor goes down or degraded, and closes it on recovery. Available on the Max plan and above.

  1. In JSM, open Operations → Settings → Integrations → Add integration → API (or “API integration”).
  2. Copy the integration’s API key.
  3. Note your account’s data residency (US or EU).
  4. In OKStatus, go to Alerting → Channels → Add a channel → Jira Service Management.
  5. Paste the API key and pick the region.
  6. Click Test, then attach the channel to your monitors.
  • Down → creates a P1 alert; DegradedP3. Both use an alias derived from the monitor URL so repeats update the same alert.
  • Up → closes the alert for that alias.
  • Paused → no alert (a pause is a deliberate admin action, not an incident).
