Overview

incident.io manages on-call, alerts and incident response. OKStatus delivers to an HTTP alert source through the Alert Events API. Available on the Max plan and above.

Setup

Section titled “Setup”
  1. In incident.io, open Alerts → Sources → Add alert source → HTTP.
  2. Copy the source’s endpoint URL and secret token.
  3. In OKStatus, go to Alerting → Channels → Add a channel → incident.io.
  4. Paste the URL and the token.
  5. Click Test, then attach the channel to your monitors.

What OKStatus sends

One alert event per transition:

  • deduplication_key — stable per monitor (URL-derived), so a firing alert and its later resolve pair into one alert instead of opening a new one.
  • status — firing (down/degraded/paused) or resolved (up).
  • title, description, and a metadata object with monitor, region, url, status, source: okstatus — usable in incident.io alert routes and templates.
